Can We rest yet?

The ride home was a very lonnnnng 23 hrs. We had continuous connecting flights until we reached home around 4:30. I am one who has a bit of motion sickness. For some odd reason it doesn't effect me until about the 8-10 hr on the plane. But once it hits it's all down hill from there. I couldn't stop throwing up and only had about 1hr layover at each stop. Which was spent in the bathroom and going though security. By the time I hit the last plane bringing us home to Denver I had become so overly exhausted and dehydrated that I knew something was happening to me but couldn't really sort it out. I didn't have strength to turn my head to where Sudhir had been sitting behind me a several rows down. I headed to the air hostess and she helped ice me down. My only hope was to get home and to stay awake for my children and my poor husband who had 23 bags of lugguage and 5 kids to take care of. Anyways I somehow made it out of that plane and our dear neighbors were waiting to pick us up. I absolutely lost it when I saw her and hugged her and her husband. There's no place like home. I still had to manage the ride home in the car. Again all I could do was think of home. I made it there but when I was able to lay down I absolutely lost it. I started seeing the walls were at different levels..I couldn't see right. I wanted to yell for help from Sudhir but somehow I couldn't..I somehow must have fallen asleep and woke up and thought I was back in India. I still wasnt' able to make out things and luckily I must have made it back to my bed and fallen asleep to where this time I was able to fall asleep and wake up seeing normal again.

Then ...the fun began. We knew our little Shalana was in desperate need of a doc. While we where in Chicago we had called home to our denver allergist and had an appointment for the next day at 10:30. While there they couldn't get her oxygen up to 90% and felt from listening to her that she had pneumonia. I was completely shocked but knew from how she had been that it was most likely right. We then were transported to the ER and they Admitted her into the hospital for the night and she stayed most of the next day. They did a x-ray and found it was just a touch of pneumonia and she is a asthmatic and she was having such a hard time keeping her oxygen at 90 % or above. She was given countinuous neb treatments and steroids but just wastn't responding as they would have liked...finally this turned and she started feeling better the next day. I hadn't known she had gotten so sick. She was really fatigued the last few days before we left and hadn't eaten and had temperatures. I guess the long flight was well worth it considering I don't know what would have happended had we not gotten home in time. She is doing much better today. I have taken 2 of the other children to docs today as they have had symptoms too. Ausen is also a asthmatic and has been given an antiobiotic because his breathing level was down 20 % of his norm. The smog in India was horrible and I think this is where most of our problems initiated. So now that my children are all taken care of ....can we get some sleep??? (nice thought) I went and got groceries at 4am this morning...when else could I have gone?? Very greatful for Walmarts 24hour service!!

It was a treat to get to read about your trip!
How special and also nice that you got to see Loraine there!
Thinking of you all and please tell the kids hi from me....though they probably don't really remember me.
